Remember the Ladies: Abigail Adams, John Adams, and Respect

In this lesson, students will review the correspondence between John Adams and Abigail Adams when she advised him to “remember the ladies” in making plans for a new form of government after independence from the British was won. They will evaluate the level of respect expressed in that correspondence.
